Louis P. Karol graduated "with distinction" from George Washington University in 1980 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (accounting with Distinction). In 1984 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. In 1989 he received his L.L.M. degree in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Karol is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Karol is licensed to practice law in New York and his application to practice law in Connecticut is pending. He is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court
Mr. Karol has lectured extensively on estate planning and taxation and has also authored articles for professional trade magazines.
Mr. Karol is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Section on Trusts and Estate Law. Mr. Karol is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Hausman is a partner with the firm of Karol Hausman & Sosnik, P.C. where he concentrates his practice in the area of trusts and estates, estate planning, elder care planning, business succession planning, surrogates practice, real estate and corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hausman began his career at Coopers and Lybrand (now known as PriceWaterhouse Coopers) working in the tax department. Thereafter he worked in private practice at two (2) firms in Manhattan.
Mr. Hausman has extensive experience and expertise in: (a) the drafting of wills, trust instruments, and other estate planning documents; (b) pre- and post- death tax planning for individuals, trusts and estates; (c) preparation and filing of estate tax returns and gift tax returns; (d) representation of individual and corporate fiduciaries; and (e) advising individuals and families in connection with real property, business succession planning and corporate planning.
Mr. Hausman , received his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Business Administration, with a concentration in financial analysis. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from Union University - Albany School of Law. While at law school he was invited to be a member of "Who's Who of American Law Students." Mr. Hausman is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., which is a non-profit association which assists lawyers, bar organizations and others who work with older clients and their families.
Mr. Hausman has been a frequent guest on "Financially Yours," a radio show on WEVD-1050 AM, dealing with estate planning and business planning and has written and lectured extensively before various groups and organizations.
Mr. Hausman is a member of the New York State Bar Association, its Trusts and Estates Law Section and its Business Law Section. He is also a founding father of a chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Howard L. Sosnik graduated from Bucknell University in 1980 with an undergraduate degree in accounting. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law in 1984. In 1986 he received his L.L.M. degree in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Sosnik has also passed the Certified Public Accounting examination.
Mr. Sosnik is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Georgia. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court.
Mr. Sosnik is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Chapter of Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America; and the Board of Directors of Amie's Place Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.

Yana Feldman earned her undergraduate degree in anthropology at the University of Chicago in 1999. She then graduated from Tulane Law School in New Orleans in 2002.
Ms. Feldman was admitted to the bar in the State of New York in 2003, and since then has concentrated exclusively on elder law, including highly contested guardianships, Medicaid planning and estate planning. Her Medicaid work includes international planning issues and Holocaust reparations issues.
Ms. Feldman is fluent in Russian and is a founding member of the Russian American Bar Association, where she chairs the elder law section. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, active in the Elder Law Section. She is a member of the Young Leaders steering committee for HIAS and is involved with the New Israel Fund. She frequently gives seminars to seniors and professionals on Medicaid Planning and Elder Law.
